Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston are not dating.

During an interview with Refinery29 at the Toronto International Film, the 26-year-old actress denied rumors that she was dating the 34-year-old English actor. The actress did admit that she and Hiddleston have had a connection years before appearing in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" together.

"People can think what they want to think," she said about the dating rumors. "I mean, we definitely are friends and we've known each other for about four years. And we happened to be at a restaurant at a wrong time having dinner. We all go out to dinner."

Olsen told MTV News that she and her co-star "have been wanting to work with each other for a while." Adding, "Tom and I have been wanting to work with each other for a while," she revealed. "We've known each other for about four years, and we met doing a chemistry read for an audition and we were like, 'Oh my God, this would be so much fun if we worked with each other."

"The intention is always to check in on each other and measure them in a way and we were like, 'Oh, we'll work really well together. That's fun as an actor to find someone who you have very similar language with."

In July, Olsen - who ended her relationship with boyfriend and actor Boyd Holbrook in January - and Hiddleston spotted getting cozy while walking down the street together in Oxford. Later that month, the pair were photographed taking a taxi together to attend Bradley Cooper's West End production of "The Elephant Man."

"They've been talking constantly. It's been good for the both of them, they really care for each other," an insider told Us Weekly at the time. "Neither of them are looking to jump into a large commitment, but it's getting more serious."

The actress also shared with Refinery 29 her reaction to the rumors that she has been romantically involved with her "Avengers" co-stars, saying, "Well, apparently I'm dating Chris Evans and apparently I've dated Jeremy Renner...I don't react to it."

Olsen and Hiddleston have reunited on the big screen for the upcoming Hank Williams biopic, "I Saw the Light." Hiddleston plays the country music legend while Olsen portrays his wife/manager Audrey Williams. Olsen admitted that she was drawn to "I Saw the Light" film because of the relationship between Hank and Audrey.

"The first thing that drew me to the relationship was how passionately they hated each other and how passionately they loved each other," the actress said about the film. "I think the way [writer/director] Marc [Abraham] wrote the dynamic of the marriage and their dysfunctional relationship was very honest. It wasn't judgmental."

"I Saw the Light" will be released on November 27.
