Demi Lovato dropped a casual bombshell about her sexuality on Friday night. The 23-year-old singer hinted on the British talk show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" that she was a bisexual and that her new single "Cool for the Summer" was actually about a female relationship.

During the interview with Lovato, host Alan Carr read some scandalous lyrics from the song including the lines, "Got a taste for the cherry, I just need to take a bite" and "Tell me what you want, what you like. It's OK, I'm a little curious too."

Carr then asked her if the song was about a female relationship.

"I am not confirming and I'm definitely not denying ... all of my songs are based off of personal experiences," Lovato said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all."

"I experimented once and it stuck," joked Carr, who is openly gay, according to Entertainment Tonight

"Hey, I didn't say that it didn't stick either. I didn't say that it didn't stick," Lovato responded.

During her interview on "Chatty Man," Lovato also encouraged other artist to incorporate sexual experimentation into their music.

"I don't think there is anything wrong, like if a very popular male artist came and one of his songs came out and said, 'I'm experimenting'. If a guy sang this song who was straight it would be such an uproar," Lovato said.
