Ichabod Crane is about to get some help from a guy who knows a thing or two about the strange and supernatural.

“Fringe” star John Noble has been brought on in a recurring capacity to FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Noble will play the role of Henry Parrish, a guy who comes in handy as an ally to Ichabod (Tom Mison) due to Parrish’s super powers.

Noble starred on “Fringe” as Dr. Walter Bishop, alongside Joshua Jackson who played Peter Bishop and Anna Torv who played FBI Agent Olivia Dunham. The series lasted five seasons and came to a close on Janurary 18 of this year.

Help from a guy with super powers is probably not a bad idea for Ichabod— especially since he has to deal with the four horseman of the apocalypse and he is 250 years out of his time.

The pilot episode of “Sleepy Hollow”, which aired on Monday, Sept. 16, did extremely well raking in 10.1 million viewers along with a 3.3 rating.

“Sleepy Hollow” is sort of like The CW’s “Supernatural” in that they’ve based the show off the Bible with much creative license taken. However, the show is different than most of its kind because it is strongly based off a children’s story of the same name. It centers on the team of Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) as they attempt to stop the apocalypse.
