Fallen Angel! Candice Swanepoel was left with a couple of bruises and nasty scrapes after taking a tumble while walking the runway at the Givenchy show during New York Fashion Week Friday.
While strutting on the runway, wearing a dark, lacy gown, the 26-year-old model was caught on camera losing her footing and tripping over the untied laces of her black heels.
A few gentlemen in the audience tried to help Swanepoel to her feet, but the model handled the incident professionally, giving her helpers a smile and the "I am fine" gesture before finishing her walk, reported Us Weekly.
Swanepoel, who is engaged to her boyfriend of 10 years Hermann Nicoli, joked about her incident on Instagram after the show and even posted a photo of the bloody scrapes on her knees.
"Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight," she captioned her post. "Left with little scratches but mostly a bruised ego. #ohwell."
Fellow model Pooja Mor also took a tumble while walking down a small stairway in the middle of the runway. Mor also received help from some audience members and then continued down the runway.
Swanepoel and Mor modeled Givenchy's Spring 2016 fashion line alongside "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Kendall Jenner. Attendees at Givenchy's show included Jenner's pregnant sister Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West, Julia Roberts, Steven Tyler, Ciara, Amanda Seyfried, Hailee Steinfeld and Nicki Minaj.
