Ellen Degeneres isn't the only one confused about Caitlyn Jenner's stance on same-sex marriage. During a visit to the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" show last week, the reality star said that she still had traditional views about marriage.

Although, some have found Jenner's ideas on same-sex marriage ridiculous and hypocritical - considering she has become one of the world's most popular transgender people and documents her new life as a woman on the E! docu-series "I Am Cait" - others are choosing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

While on "The Meredith Vieira Show" on Wednesday former NSYNC member Lance Bass, who made history when he married husband Michael Turchin in December making to them the first gay couple to tie the knot on American TV, said he thinks Jenner needs time to grow on the topic of same-sex marriage.

"What I don't get is, she's sitting there in Givenchy, full makeup saying, 'I'm a traditionalist,' I'm like 'What?!'" Bass said.

"But I do have to give her some room, too, because even when I came out, I still caught myself saying, 'Oh, she's so hot,'" Bass added. "Like doing that thing you trained yourself to do for so many years. So I think we should give her a little room to grow."

Vieira added, "And if you've had a belief system for so long, it takes time."

Jenner appeared on Tuesday's pre-taped season premiere of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." In the interview, the transgender star revealed to DeGeneres, who has been married to Portia De Rossi since 2008, that she was originally against gay marriage but has slightly changed her tune.

"I have to admit that I remember 15 years ago, 20 years ago whenever it was the whole gay marriage issue came up at first, I was not for it," the former Olympian explained to the host. "I thought am a traditionalist. I'm older than most people in the audience. I like tradition and it's always been between a man and a woman and I'm thinking I don't quite get it. But as time goes on like a lot of people on this issue I've really changed thinking here to I don't ever want to stand in front of anybody's happiness."

During an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, DeGeneres said she was surprised at Jenner's opinion, noting, "She still has a judgment about gay marriage. I said, 'You're wanting people to understand and accept you - this is like, really confusing to people - and you still have a judgment about gay people and marriage.'"
