Republic Wireless announced Thursday that it will start Moto X sales under its network for $299 without a two-year contract, but not until November this year.

America's leading network carriers fiercely compete against each other to dominate the U.S. market, which in turn has benefited the sales of smartphones . Google owned Motorola joined the smartphone race after the company was near to losing its foothold in the business. The Moto X, widely promoted as "Made in the U.S.A", competes against Samsung Galaxy S4 and Apple iPhone 5S.

Leading network carriers including AT&T , Verizon and Sprint offer the Moto X smartphone for $199.99 with a two-year contract. The unsubsidized version of the smartphone goes on sale for $599.99. But the competition is about to get stiffer as Republic Wireless announced Thursday that it will sell the Moto X smartphone for $299 without any tied contract.

The catch here is that the Republic Wireless relies on Wi-Fi and Sprint's network to carry out services. The carrier is well known for its budget plans that include unlimited cell phone service for $19 a month. The carrier uses the Sprint's growing 4G LTE service to provide its customers with fast LTE data. But in the absence of both Sprint and Wi-Fi network, the phone will fall back on any service. So it is best suited for those covered in the Sprint 4G LTE market and around a Wi-Fi network at all times.

"We rocked the industry when we introduced our $19 unlimited smartphone plan, but we knew we could do even better," David Morken, co-founder and CEO of Republic Wireless, said in a press release. "Today, we're lowering the bar again. We're freeing users from the shackles of two-year contracts and offering the Moto X, an exciting new smartphone for just $299 without a contract, plus new plans that will allow our members to save even more money on their monthly smartphone bills. To us, it's simple, really - it's the way wireless should be. Smartphones that are affordable and accessible for everyone."

By introducing the Moto X in its Smartphone offering, Republic Wireless will introduce four new service plans. Users can pay as low as $5 a month for unlimited talk, text, and data on Wi-Fi only or upgrade to $10 a month to get unlimited talk and text on Wi-Fi and cellular and unlimited data on Wi-Fi. Users can also choose the expensive service plan for unlimited text, talk and data on Wi-Fi and 3G for $25 a month or the same plan on 4G LTE for $40 a month.
