The season finale of ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" proved that love still does exist when Tanner Tolbert got down on one knee and proposed to Jade Roper, Entertainment Weekly reported. The reality stars were the only couple to get engaged during the season two finale.

"Jade, as you know, I came to paradise expecting nothing but free drinks and a good time on the beach," Tolbert told Roper during the final rose ceremony. "But then I met you and that changed everything for me."

He set his rose aside and psyched Roper out, telling her that he couldn't give her a rose, then said, "because what we have means so much more than a rose."

He pulled out a ring box and got down on one knee to propose to Roper, and she excitedly accepted. The couple tweeted along as the episode aired, and Roper revealed their wedding plans.

"Thanks for having us on #AfterParadise @chrisbharrison!" Roper tweeted. "One question unanswered though: Are you officiating @ttolbert05's and my wedding!?"

Roper also shared a sweet message to her new fiancé in post on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of her drinking coffee in a white robe, with her ring front and center.

"Does this ring make me look engaged? Oh, wait. I am," she captioned the post. "I love this picture so much, Tanner caught this moment in Mexico our first morning as an engaged couple. We were still giddy, but also a little scared knowing that our relationship was stepping into the real world where our lives were so different. Glad you came into my life Tanner and showed me that two people can get through anything when love is the foundation."
