The next James Bond theme will drop on Tuesday morning, but Sam Smith may have already revealed himself as the singer behind the official song for "SPECTRE."

Smith posted a Twitter photo on Monday wearing a ring emblazoned with a seven-legged figure that matches the spider-veined SPECTRE symbol featured in many of the upcoming film's promotional materials. The 23-year-old singer didn't caption the picture.

In the James Bond series, the criminal organization SPECTRE is represented by an octopus with eight tentacles rather than the movie's seven.

The "Stay With Me" singer denied working on the new theme song in July and suggested Ellie Goulding had recorded the song already. "People seem to think I'm doing it but I have no idea what's going on. I'm being deadly serious," Smith told UK radio station Capitol FM.

Goulding dropped her own hints around the same time. On July 9, she tweeted, "Live and let die," the title of Paul McCartney's 1973 theme song. The same day she posted another Instagram photo inside a recording studio at an undisclosed location.

The James Bond films have a rich musical history including McCartney, Shirley Bassey ("Goldfinger," "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Moonraker"), Carly Simon ("Nobody Does It Better"), Duran Duran ("A View to a Kill"), Sheena Easton ("For Your Eyes Only") and Adele, who won the first Oscar for a Bond song with "Skyfall" in 2013.

"SPECTRE," starring Daniel Craig, hits theaters on Nov. 6 and pre-sale tickets also go on sale on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
