Do you remember how I said Klaus (Joseph Morgan) wouldn’t happily stroll into the role of the loving father? Yea, there may be a reason for that.

According to an interview Morgan recently did with TVGuide.com, Klaus may have some issues with his own father that he has yet to work out.

His good ol’ daddy Mikael (Sebastian Roché) will be coming back to The CW in “Original” flashback form.

"We'll certainly get a better idea of why Klaus has turned out the way he has," Morgan said, according to the website. "One scene in particular, filmed in the woods in the dead of night, will hopefully help people to empathize a little more with this bloodthirsty, murdering sociopath I play."

Morgan recently told Entertainment Weekly that Klaus would not step right into being the exemplary father and that he would have “mixed feelings about the fatherhood things.”

“It’s a difficult one because as we know, he values family very highly … he has a weird way of being protective over them,” Morgan said. “And I think he’s [also] still coming to terms that it’s all happening and all still sinking in for him.”

Hopefully this season we get to see Klaus as the big bad daddy. Someone will probably try to attack his child. He’ll probably get mad. And then he’ll probably start leaving people will deadly, poisonous bites and tearing people to shreds. It might be a good idea to just leave his child alone.

The Originals” premieres Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c on The CW.
