Spanish International Xabi Alonso is the latest player rumored with a move to MLS in his near future, according to ESPN FC

The 33-year-old midfielder for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga talked about a move to either MLS or China, according to a recent interview Alonso did with Kicker Magazine.

While Alonso made no mention of wanting to leave Germany, he made it clear that he was not thinking about moving until after the season concluded. If Alonso does make the voyage to MLS, the constant questions of where he will end up will rise again.

Immediately, there are three possible landing spots: the New York Red Bulls, LA Galaxy and New York City FC. These are three huge teams in large markets, something that European players love to play in and not waste time with considering the smaller and less popular clubs in MLS.

The Spanish International has spent time with Premier League side Liverpool, La Liga giants Real Madrid and now plays for Munich in the Bundesliga.

Alonso is over the 30-year mark but still plays at a high-caliber level that would make any team fortunate enough to have him. Do not start the official rumors yet, but Alonso might find a new home in MLS come this time next year.
