Disney has announced that it will start selling the Millennium Falcon drone on Friday. This is part of the company's recent Star Wars merchandise package offering called "Force Awakens," which also includes the X-Wing Starfighter.

The Millenium Falcon is actually a remote-controlled quadcopter drone complete with four tiny propellors and technology that features "high density foam." It is manufactured by Air Hogs, which is a company known for manufacturing remote controlled vehicles, reported Engadget.

For those who are interested to know how the drone looks and performs: you are in luck. In an effort to drum up interest and anticipation, Disney has allowed YouTube stars Corey Vidal and Quill18 to unbox and demo the Falcon during the Fan Expo Canada held in Toronto. It was streamed live and the recorded video is available below.

Excited onlookers also took to Twitter to show the incredible Star Wars ship come alive. Here are just some of their posts:

The release of the Disney merchandise is not the first of Star Wars-themed drone to emerge in our midst. A YouTube user posted a footage of his drone modified to look like the Millenium Falcon. It is a powerful little beast, capable of zipping 90km/h [56 miles per hour] in the sky, HNGN earlier reported.

Disney has yet to announce the pricing for the Force Awakens package or for the Millenium Falcon drone if it is sold separately.
