Carly Fiorina, Hewlett-Packard CEO, will have the chance join the next GOP debate after CNN, the organizer, altered the criteria for the debate.

This was announced on Tuesday evening after Fiorina expressed her anger towards the network and towards the Republican National Committee regarding their rules, which prevented her from participating in the previous GOP debate, ABC News reported.

"A lack of national public polling following the August 6 debate has so far provided only three new polls to determine the lineup for the Reagan Presidential Debate. As a result, CNN reevaluated its criteria and decided to add a provision that better reflects the state of the race since the first Republican presidential debate in August, the network announced today," CNN said in a statement.

"In the event that any candidate is polling in the top 10 in an average of approved national polls released between August 7th and September 10th, we will add those candidates to our top tier debate, even if those candidates did not poll in the top 10 in an average of approved national polls between July 16th and September 10th," the network added. "We have discussed these changes with the Republican National Committee and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and they are fully supportive."

There was more positive feedback after CNN changed its debate rules, to only because a woman will be allowed to participate in this event but this will be a huge difference from the previous debates on August 6 which was only comprised of ten male candidates, according to the Washington Post.

Fiorina's side was pleased with the changed.

"We're so grateful to the thousands of grass-roots supporters and conservative activists around the country who weren't afraid to take on the political establishment and challenge the status quo to make this happen," said Sarah Isgur Flores, Fiorina's deputy campaign manager, the New York Times reported.
