The Washington Wizards have been extremely wise in their roster moves this offseason to not give out deals that would affect their ability to get free agents in the summer of 2016. The main player the Wizards are targeting is Kevin Durant, who will be the biggest fish on the market, but besides that, they also want to bring over their second round pick from 2012, Tomas Satoransky. It is being reported that Satoransky will likely be joining the Wizards next season, according to Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post.

Satoransky is entering the second year of his two year contract with FC Barcelona, so the timing would work out perfectly for him and the Wizards. Current Wizards backup point guard, Ramon Sessions, is entering the final year of his deal so Satoransky would likely come in and be John Wall's primary backup immediately.

In 71 games with FC Barcelona (who plays in the second best basketball league in the world), Satoransky averaged 8.1 points and 3.3 assists in 20.3 minutes per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 44 percent from three. Satoransky stands at 6-foot-7 and is extremely athletic which are two tools that could be very helpful as a point guard in the NBA. There aren't many point guards in the league taller than Satoransky, and he will likely be able to use his athleticism to score in the league.

Satoransky is still only 23 years old, even though he was drafted three years ago, and already has improved his long range jump shot a lot since being drafted. Satoransky did play for the Wizards summer league team in 2012, but he didn't have much of an impact. Now, after letting him develop overseas, the Wizards and Satoransky both feel it's the right time to bring the Czech Republic native over to start the 2016-17 season.
