It has been rumored for quite some time that Drake and Rihanna were secretly dating or at least toying with the idea. The two have been careful to keep the rumored romance under wraps but a song from Drake's new album "Nothing Was The Same" has the Internet buzzing, Hollywood Life reports.

The "Versace" rapper teamed up with Jay Z for a new song called "Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2."

In the third verse Jay Z starts by giving a slight shout out to Rihanna by rapping the familiar line "Cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake/500 million, I got a pound cake."

Ri Ri made the chant famous in her song "Birthday Cake." Because Drake and Rihanna have been linked to each other several times recently, the line instantly ignited rumors that something is going on between them.

Recently text messages supposedly sent from Drake to Gucci Mane also ignited rumors that the two were dating. According to Hollywood Life, after Gucci's Twitter rant blasting several hip-hop names Drake sent text messages to Gucci asking him if he had sex with Rihanna.

"Hey Gucci you leave tyga and nicki alone," the text read.

"You didn't do anything with Ri-Ri did you?

You did didn't you!?

"I'm about to FaceTime you real quick."

Drake hasn't mentioned the leaked messages on Twitter and it's not clear if they are even real. The "Take Care" rapper was also linked to the singer when he was reportedly spotted with Rihanna a couple days before the MTV VMAs, E! News reports.

"Drake came in around 10 p.m. with 10 people and had 4 large security guards. Rihanna came about an hour later, alone, not counting her security," a source said. "They sat in a back room, lights were dimmed, and there was sort of a barricade of tables blocking their group off."

"Drake and Rihanna sat right across the table from one another," the source continued. "They were avoiding photos, and the security kindly asked some fans to leave, because they were trying to get too close."

What do you think? Does the song have anything to do with Rihanna?
