Danica McKellar is the newest addition to the Miss America competition. The actress will be serving as a judge in next year's competition, according to TV Guide. McKellar is excited about working for an organization that shares a lot of the same views as she does.

"The Miss American Organization shares my passion for the advancement of women in the STEM fields and celebrates smart, strong women," McKellar said in a statement. "I am proud to be part of the show and an organization that is such a huge advocate for education."

The 40-year-old actress is known for her role on "The Wonder Years," but she has also competed on "Dancing With The Stars" and has appeared on many shows like "How I Met Your Mother," "The West Wing" and "The Big Bang Theory," according to NJ.com. She's an author, as well, and has written many books that are aimed at educating and helping young students.

Earlier today, she posted a photo for the competition, announcing the exciting news. "Excited to announce I'll be a judge at #MissAmerica next month to celebrate talent, intelligence and beauty, inside & out, awarding scholarships to celebrate these well-rounded women."

McKellar will judge alongside snowboarder Amy Purdy, author Taya Kyle, "Shark Tank's" Kevin O'Leary, singer Zendaya and country singer Brett Eldredge. There is only one celebrity judge spot left, whom the Atlantic City, N.J.-based Miss America Organization says it will be announced in the next few weeks. Chris Harrison and Brooke Burke-Charvet will be hosting and Nick Jonas will be performing.

The 95th Miss America Competition airs live from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
