If you're looking for the next Apple TV, get ready to pay a pretty penny for it.

Reports are coming out that the fourth-generation Apple TV could cost as much as $149 to $199, according to Fortune. That's almost double the current price of the third-generation Apple TV.

The estimated price is also much higher that other competitors like Roku, Google and Amazon, according to CNBC.

When it was first released in 2012, the previous Apple TV was priced at $99, before the price reduction in March, according to Fortune. Both Apple TVs will continue to sell when the fourth-generation is released.

The reports are surfacing 10 days before the Apple event scheduled for Sept. 10, according to Forbes. At the event, details about the new iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 will be released, as well as information about the new Apple TV.

The new Apple TV is said to be similar to the current version available to the public, according to CNBC. The newest version is believed to be thicker and wider than the current, while also including Siri support, a new remote, an APP store and a new interface.

Apple also plans on releasing a "skinny bundle" that allows users to stream video for a monthly fee, according to Fortune.
