A batch of Apple iPhone 6 Plus smartphones are being affected by a bug, resulting in them taking blurry pictures, and prompting Apple to announce that it will replace the defective devices, according to CNN Money.

The affected batches are those sold between September 2014 to January 2015, according to CNN Money. A defective component in the rear camera is causing the blurry pictures, Apple reports.

The problem is with the iSight camera in the back of the phone, not the front facing camera, according to CNN Money.

Apple has said that it will replace the phone's camera free of charge if the device is taking fuzzy photos, and if it falls into a certain set of serial numbers, according to the Huffington Post.

Apple's stock was estimated to open at its lowest this year on Monday, according to Reuters.  Issues with the phone have been reported since last fall, a thread about the defects on Apple's support site reaching over 100 replies, according to CNN Money.

The affected serial numbers are available on Apple's website, according to the Huffington Post. Serial numbers can be found by going to "Settings," then "General," then "About," according to CNN Money. Owners an also find the serial number on the iPhone box and by using iTunes.

Users can then go to Apple's iSight Replacement page, and enter their serial number to find out if they're eligible for a replacement phone.
