Fox announced earlier this year that their comedic crime procedural "Bones" would be returning for its 11th season, and they're bringing on some pretty big names. The latest guest star to be announced is everyone's favorite, Betty White. David Boreanaz will also be returning to the show a few episodes in, despite the health care he suffered earlier this year.

The 93-year-old legendary actress will come in as Jeffersonian's latest "squintern," according to TV Line. Her character will be Dr. Beth Mayer, who is trying to help assist them in solving a murder linked to fantasy football, which is her specialty.

As an accomplished and extremely experienced forensic anthropologist, it seems weird that she is brought on as only a squintern, which is what characters call Dr. Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) interns. It ends up being the competition between White's character and Deschanel's character that really makes it enjoyable to watch as the two go head to head.

White's episode will be airing towards the end of October, so she will most likely be in episode three or four considering the show premieres on Oct. 1. This isn't the first time White is playing a role like this, either. On the season 2 premiere of "Community," she played an anthropology instructor, according to Carter Matt.

David Boreanaz, who plays Booth, will be returning to the show despite the health scare he suffered earlier this year, according to TV Line. Since the reaction to an antibiotic lasted a little longer than expected, and went into the beginning of filming, the producers made sure to create a plot in which he goes missing so they could bring him on once he was feeling better.

"Nothing matters to me more than 'Bones,' so I was thrilled when the producers came up with a way for me to take a few extra weeks to recover from a personal health issue without delaying production," he said following the scare. "I'm happy to say that I'm now feeling great and will be back to work tomorrow, and that our 11th season premiere will broadcast on schedule-with me in it."
