"American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that all of the seasons of the horror anthology series were somehow connected. Murphy said last year that "American Horror Story" was beginning to intertwine the mythologies of the different seasons. While every season had its own beginning, middle and end, Murphy said that it was always his intention to connect the series. The connection was seen for the first time last season on "American Horror Story: Freak Show."

"This is the first year where we begin to tell you that season two is connected to season four which is connected to season one," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly.

The connections did not stop with "Freak Show" and "Asylum." Murphy revealed that the new season "Hotel" was connected to the first season, known as "Murder House."

"We do go to the Murder House for one episode," Murphy teased, Entertainment Weekly reported.

In season one, there was a character named Marcy, a realtor who sold the doomed Harmon family their haunted house. Murphy said that in the upcoming season, she is the real estate agent that sold the similarly horrific Hotel Cortez to Lady Gaga's character The Countess.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" stars Gaga, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock. The fifth season of the show premieres Oct. 7 on FX.
