Mother-daughter country duo The Judds will reunite for a series of concerts in a Las Vegas residency starting in October. This will mark the duo's first joint performance in five years.

The pair will appear in "Girls Night Out," a nine-show residency at The Venetian casino in Las Vegas. The show will run from Oct. 7-24, Wynonna Judd says on her website. She also says the shows are all about celebrating her mother, Naomi.

"Over the years people have asked me about a Judds reunion and I have always said the door is open," Wynonna says in her press statement, according to USA Today "When this opportunity was presented to me, I looked at it as an incredible chance to celebrate my mom."

The Kentucky-born singers are excited to play live shows again for their fans, but Wynonna confesses she is really looking forward to seeing her mom back in action again since their "Last Encore Tour" in 2011. "I know that my mama's party dress is hanging, dry cleaned and ready to go," says Wynonna, 51.

The duo says "Girls Night Out" will be a new show created specifically for a Vegas audience, featuring a setlist handpicked by Naomi and Wynonna.

The Judds are one of the most successful country acts and have sold more than 20 million albums between them, according to the Associated Press. Their last studio album, "Love Can Build a Bridge," is 25 years old this year.
