Robert DiNero marked his handprints and footprints with his signature in cement outside the TCL Chinese Theater Monday, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The Oscar-nominated actor for his supporting role in "Silver Lining Playbook" marked his presence at the handprint ceremony outside the TCL Chinese Theater, formerly known as Grauman's Chinese Theatre. DeNiro was attended the honoring ceremony with his wife Grace Hightower.

DeNiro expressed his gratitude in the thank you speech at the ceremony with his humor.

"You know, Joe Pesci always said I'd end up with my feet in cement," De Niro addressed to  the crowd, according to E! News. "I don't think this is what he had in mind."

DeNiro received two Oscars for his supporting role in "The Godfather Part II" and Best Actor in "Raging Bull." The 69-year-old actor is up for his third Oscar for his supporting role in "Silver Lining Playbook" alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.

"They say everyone in the film industry has three homes - the home where they live, the home where their first wife lives, and Hollywood. I love New York, and I'm proud to be a citizen of Hollywood," he said. "Thank you for this honor and thank you for making me feel at home here."

Billy Crystal, who worked with DeNiro in "Analyze This" as a psychiatrist added a few good words about DeNiro for his great work.

"Even in his darkest performances, even in 'Raging Bull' ... he could make you laugh, and that he did in spades in 'Analyze This," Crystal said, according to Reuters. "I'm not used to playing straight for anybody, but it was a thrill of a lifetime to be on the opposite side of that genius."

David O. Russell, director "Silver Lining Playbook" admires DeNiro's sensitivity recalling an incident when he presented the movie script where DeNiro had to play the role of father of a bipolar son in the "Playbook."

"When we first read the script together he cried because he has known people who struggled with PTSD or bipolar disorder," Russell said. "Many families are no stranger to these challenges and they have to find the magic and the love that Bob brought in his soul, and he did bring his soul to this movie."

DeNiro shares his handprints and footprints placed among more than 200 Hollywood stars since 1927 including Nicolas Cage, George Clooney, Al Pacino, Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep, Julie Andrews, Marilyn Monroe and many more.
