Morgan Freeman will likely upstage former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright when they both guest star in the season two premiere of "Madam Secretary." The Oscar-winning actor has not appeared on a scripted television series in 30 years. Freeman serves as an executive producer on the CBS drama and will direct the first two episodes of its sophomore season. In the premiere, he'll play a Supreme Court Justice and share his scene with Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord, played by Téa Leoni, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Albright will appear as herself and advise Leoni's character on how to navigate a tricky situation with National Security Advisor Craig Sterling (Julian Acosta) that may threaten her relationship with President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The premiere starts with a major crisis when Air Force One goes missing and Elizabeth is reluctantly forced to take on a position of power she never expected. Elsewhere, her husband Henry (Tim Daly) is butting heads with his new Defense Intelligence Agency handler, Jane Fellows (Jill Hennessy), who asks him to recruit one of his Russian students for the NSA.

"Madam Secretary" returns for its second season on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
