Following the massive warehouse explosion in Tianjin, China, rescue crews found a miraculously unhurt dog within the blast zone. The rescue of the dog is a ray of hope after dozens of lives were claimed during the incident.

The survival of the puppy is being celebrated as a rare bit of good news despite the unfortunate event. How the puppy survived or escaped the explosion is still unclear, but seeing him without injury is indeed something to be thankful for.

"We have been reading so many stories of death and loss, especially our young firefighters. So I am glad to hear how a tiny puppy has become a story of strength and kindness in China today," wrote Yang Yi Chang on the site Weibo, according to BBC.

The dog was rescued by a team of chemical specialists who named it "Shenghua" which means "biochemical." Shenghua's rescue attracted many people on social media sites like Weibo and Facebook.

"This is more than just any old animal story - Reading it among all the doom and gloom of Tianjin [coverage] literally lifted my spirits," another Weibo user commented, Mirror reported.

Although the dog is enjoying the company of the rescuers, people still hope that he would find a new home soon.
