Alex Morgan took to social media on Monday and called out the National Women's Soccer League for the less-than-stellar hotel accommodations given to the Woman's World Cup soccer champion.

Unfortunately, Morgan was not talking about forgotten mints on the pillows; Morgan claimed her team was put up in a hotel riddled with bed bugs and mold. Morgan, the U.S. soccer star who plays for the Portland Thorns FC, publicly called out the National Women's Soccer League on Monday night for continuous unacceptable accommodations, according to the New York Daily News.

".@NWSL there's no other way to address continuing problems. Hotels have been unacceptable. For ex. :Bed bugs/mold @ Adams Mark Hotel in KC," the 26-year old soccer star tweeted and has since deleted, according to the Seattle Times.

Teammate Christine Sinclair also joined in. "WARNING to @NWSL teams and anyone staying at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Kansas City, MO #bedbugs #notok." the tweets were reported by Sports Illustrated.

The NWSL shared the following statement with Sports Illustrated in response to the incident:

"During a recent road trip, a Portland Thorns FC player reported finding bed bugs in her hotel room at the team hotel in Kansas City. The hotel apologized, quickly provided a new room, and insisted the problem had been corrected. Upon learning of the situation, the league immediately spoke with both clubs, and FC Kansas City had already addressed the issue. For the remainder of the season, rooms have already been secured at another hotel. Player safety and comfort is important to all teams of the NWSL, and we are always seeking ways to improve our club and league operations. We regret this situation and apologize to the player involved."

The 2014 NWSL Operations manual states that the team must be provided with a 3-star hotel while on the road. The Adam's Mark Hotel is indeed listed as a 3-star hotel.
