Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a dad. The "500 Days of Summer" star and his wife Tasha McCauley are first-time parents after welcoming a baby boy the weekend of Aug. 15, a representative for the actor confirmed to Us Weekly.

"Everyone's happy and healthy," an insider told Us Weekly. A source told PEOPLE, that "the family is all happy and healthy."

No further details, including the newborn's name, have not been released to the media. McCauley is the co-founder and CEO of Fellow Robots, a robotics company at the NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley, Calif.

The couple started dating in 2013 after meeting through mutual friends. Gordon-Levitt married McCauley on Dec. 20, 2014, during a private ceremony at their home. Similar to their pregnancy, the couple had chosen to keep their nuptials a secret.

"The girl that I'm with she really doesn't want to be a part of that," Gordon-Levitt said about his relationship at the time, preferring to keep his private life out of the spotlight.

The actor will be portraying Edward Snowden in Oliver Stone's upcoming biopic on the whistleblower. The film, called "Snowden," will be released on Christmas Day and also stars Shailene Woodley, Nicolas Cage, Zachary Quinto and Tom Wilkinson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
