The Minnesota Timberwolves have made it a goal of theirs to bring in veteran leadership to surround their mostly young roster. The latest two moves Minnesota made were bringing in veterans Andre Miller and Tayshaun Prince. The Prince signing has put the Timberwolves roster at 17 players, 16 of which have guaranteed deals meaning they are going to have some tough roster decisions to make. Because of the roster crunch Anthony Bennett, the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, is reportedly on the roster bubble according to Inquisitr.com.

Bennett so far has been a major disappointment in his NBA career as he has only averaged 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in his two NBA seasons. Bennett is coming of a summer in which he had really good Pan-American games for the Canadian team but he is going to have to prove in Timberwolves training camp that he can compete at the NBA level.

The most likely player to be cut by Minnesota is Lorenzo Brown because he is the only player on the roster that doesn't have a fully guaranteed contract. Brown had a very good summer league but might just be a victim of a team that has no room for him. After Brown the last spot will reportedly be a fight between Bennett, Shabazz Muhammad and Damjan Rudez. The Timberwolves can potentially look to trade one of these players especially Bennett or Muhammad as they are still young players with tremendous upside but they have reportedly been looking at trades all summer with no deal being done.

Bennett is still just 22 years old but the Timberwolves are so deep in the front court that even if he did make the team he likely wouldn't get much playing time. Kevin Garnett and Gorgui Dieng are the current projected starters up front with Nikola Pekovic, Karl-Anthony Towns and Adreian Payne all reportedly ahead of Bennett on the depth chart.

Bennett is scheduled to make more than $5.8 million next season and the Timberwolves have a team option for the 2016-17 season. Bennett is going to have to show a lot in training camp if he not only wants to make the team but if he wants that club option picked up also.
