Former New England Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow received a job offer from LA KISS, an Arena Football League team owned by the eponymous band.  While Tebow pursues a career in the NFL, a dismal opening-season game from the Jacksonville Jaguars is all the more reason the team needs Tebow.

Legendary rock group KISS, the proud new owners of the Arena Football League team in Los Angeles, offered a job to the free agent quarterback.  Not only is the team willing to give Tebow a job, they're willing to pay - a three-year contract worth "millions," according to USA Today Sports.

"Acquiring Tebow would not only be a great investment for the team, but his exciting style of play would definitely send shockwaves through the League," KISS bassist Gene Simmons said in a press release, via USA Today Sports.  "We're excited for the opportunity to see him with an LA KISS uniform on, and for the LA KISS fans to be rockin' their Tebow shirts and jerseys."

Tebow is reportedly adamant about playing in the NFL - and only as a quarterback. After Sunday's horrific performance, the Jaguars would help themselves out by signing the former Gator.  Why?  Because, as Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel points out, the Jaguars can't do any worse.

Jacksonville failed miserably in its regular season debut on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Jags lost 28-2, and the offense looked terrible.

Blaine Gabbert completed 16-of-35 passes for 121 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions.  He looked inept under center, further evidence that the three-year pro isn't the franchise quarterback the team hoped for when it drafted him 10th overall in 2011.  There isn't much hope behind Gabbert, either.  Six-year pro Chad Henni and three-year pro Ricky Stanzi round out the quarterback position, neither a viable starter.

It's become increasingly clear Gabbert isn't the answer at quarterback.  The Jaguars would have nothing to lose by signing Tebow.  At the very least, Tebow's presence would fill the stands and generate excitement in Jacksonville.

The Jaguars said during the offseason they have no intention of signing Tebow.  But as the season drags on, and if the team doesn't improve on offense, how much worse could they do with Tebow under center?
