"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers have split up – again! The 53-year-old reality star and her 47-year-old partner have broken up after four years of dating, Us Weekly confirmed.  The couple announced their relationship status in a joint statement released on Sunday.

"After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four-year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other," the couple said in a statement posted on Facebook. "We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths."

The pair also addressed their fans, explaining that the upcoming episode of season 10 of the "RHOC" will show the two happily together as a couple, since filming for the series took place between January and May of this year.

"There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time," the statement continued.

A source told E! News that the split between Gunvalson and Ayers was amicable and that the two remain friends. The source added that Gunvalson is "devastated" over the split, but realizes it's time for them to continue on different paths." Gunvalson's adult daughter Briana Wolfsmith Culberson, was reportedly never a fan of her mother's relationship with Ayers.

The former couple met in 2011 through Gunvalson's insurance business. After dating for two years, Gunvalson and Ayers in called it quits 2013 but reconciled in fall of 2014.
