Madonna apparently got nostalgic over the weekend and took to Instagram to post a picture of herself along with ex-husband Sean Penn.

The legendary singer turned 57 on Sunday and uploaded the picture ahead of she and Penn's birthday, which is one day after hers, reported NewsMax. Penn turned 55 on Monday, Aug. 17.

"Its almost our birthdays!! 2 Leo's #rebelhearts," the singer captioned the black-and-white picture. Madonna and Penn were married on the singer's 27th birthday in 1985. The nostalgic picture showed Madonna looking seductively as Penn kisses her neck.

The picture represented a very sweet memory for the couple who divorced in 1989. It's a particularly nice trip to a happier time when the two celebrities were together, even though their relationship was rocky at best, according to Entertainment Tonight. The two were deeply – Madonna even dedicated her 1986 album, True Blue, to Penn. "This is dedicated to my husband, the coolest guy in the universe," she wrote.

Both Penn and Madonna went on to marry other people. Penn was married to actress Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010 and just ended a relationship with Charlize Theron. Madonna was married to English filmmaker Guy Ritchie for eight years before they split in 2008, according to Spreadit.

"I'm very friendly with my first ex-wife," Penn said in a January interview with Esquire U.K..
