Ed Sheeran does not really care what people think of his tattoos! The British singer had to defend his new, massive tattoo of a lion on the middle of his chest. Fans responded strongly to the new ink and voiced their opinions on social media. Sheeran fought back against his haters and told them all he liked the tattoo and that was all that mattered.

Sheeran's two arms are already covered in tattoos, so the "Thinking Out Loud" singer decided to get the lion portrait on his chest. The tattoo was to commemorate his three sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium in England as the lion is the mascot of England's national soccer team, according to Teen Vogue, who play at the venue.

One of the initial public haters was Keane's Tom Champlin, according to Billboard. The musician tweeted about the tattoo, calling it a "really bad picture of a lion," and said he hoped it was a prank. "I like it and that's the only opinion that matters," replied Sheeran.

Chaplin then apologized for his insensitive comments, "you don't need my jaded old opinion," he said.

Sheeran then went on to address the rest of the negative comments that were being said about his tattoo. "All this kerfuffle over a tattoo. If it was black and white saying a clever phrase in a language I can't speak no one would've said anything," tweeted Sheeran. "It's not the first weird tattoo I've got and it won't be the last, but I like all of them. I'm also eating a bowl of pasta now so byeziez x," added the singer.

The lion tattoo is only halfway done, according to Music Times.
