There are conflicting reports today regarding Al Gore and a possible Presidential run, according to The Washington Post. BuzzFeed suggested that Gore is considering a run, but other sources say he is not.

Al Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 election, but did not win the electoral college vote in an election that is still being debated despite a definitive Supreme COurt decision on the matter.

Al Gore supporters have been discussing the possibility of whether the former Vice President would like to run again, according to People. However, an unnamed insider says Gore doesn't want to run. "There is nothing to the rumors that any of this involves Al Gore himself, as far as I can tell," said the insider, People reported.

If he were to run for President, Gore would be forced to run against Hillary Clinton, the wife of Gore's former running mate Bill Clinton. Hillary is considered to be the frontrunner in the Democratic primary at this point.

Another unnamed source explained that Gore's interest is not the presidency but the Earth. "I am 1000 percent behind Gore, but I've spoken to him and don't see any moves for a 2016 run. He's focused 100 percent on his first love which is climate," said the source, according to CNN.
