Season one of "Gotham" introduced fans to their fair share of villains, but our heroes Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne were really at the center of the story. Season two, however, is said to focus on "The Rise of the Villains," and just added one more to their roster.

Deadline reports that Leo Fitzpatrick ("The Wire") has been cast in a recurring villain role on the Fox series. However, he will not be portraying a character from the DC Comics source material. Rather, Fitzpatrick will be playing a gang leader known as Joe Pike who runs a treacherous group of arsonists known as "The Pike Brothers."

Season one ended with the deaths/disappearances of Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), Sal Maroni (David Zayas) and Carmine Falcone (John Doman), leaving the door open for new villains. Pike will join Jessica Lucas' Tigress and James Frain's Theo Galavan as Big Bads for season two, which may also feature the Joker and a new twist on Harley Quinn.

Season two of "Gotham" will premiere Monday, Sept. 21 on Fox.
