Cassidy Gifford, actress and daughter of the late NFL great Frank Gifford, took to Instagram a day after her father's passing to give him a tribute, Entertainment Tonight reported. She posted a beautiful daddy-daughter photo and wrote a touching and emotional message about her dad.

"Very few people are blessed enough to call their father a legend, and an even smaller number are able to share that notion with the rest of the world," Cassidy wrote in the caption. "Today of all days I can genuinely say I am humbled by the outpour of love and support my family has received."

Her words accompanied an old shot of Frank smiling like a proud papa with a young Cassidy propped up on his shoulders. Toddler Cassidy is holding on to her father's head in the touching photo.

"Yesterday, I lost my best friend," she continued on Instagram. "His kindness was infectious, and his grace, beyond compare .. And despite the worldly passing of an incredible man, I undoubtedly know heaven gained one stud of an angel. Philippians 4:13 has never rung so true.. You were an unparalleled Giant in all sense of the word, Dad.. So keep doin' you up there, because no one does it better, and no one ever will."

Frank, a former New York Giants player and NFL Hall of Famer, passed away at his family's Connecticut home on Sunday at 84 years old, as previously reported by HNGN. He is survived by his daughter Cassidy, son Cody and wife and "Today Show" host Kathie Lee Gifford. Kathie Lee quoted the same bible that Cassidy used in her own Twitter tribute to her husband.

Cody also paid tribute to his late father, using Twitter to share a photo of Frank with one of his five grandchildren. See Cody's and Cassidy's tributes below.
