"Deadliest Catch" star Tony Lara passed away from a heart attack on Saturday in South Dakota.

Authorities were waiting on his autopsy results to determine the cause of death, and the results have revealed that he suffered a heart attack in his sleep, according to TMZ. Luckily he did not suffer because he was sleeping at the time of his death.

Mead County Sherrif Ron Merwin said that the autopsy showed scar tissue on the 50-year-old reality star's heart, which "is consistent with the effects of a heart attack." Even though this was likely the case, they are still waiting for the toxicology report to come back. No signs of drugs or alcohol were found in his system at the time of his death, though.

Lara was a veteran crab catcher and was the ship captain on the Discovery Channel show. His death comes just two weeks after the show's producer Joe McMahon was shot and killed.

On Sunday, the show's official Twitter account tweeted their condolences. "Yesterday we lost a member of the Catch Family," the wrote. "May you RIP Captain Tony Lara!"

Keith Colburn, who is another captain on the show, also tweeted about losing his friend. "Saddened to hear of the passing of Capt., Tony Lara," he wrote. "Top notch chief, great capt., & even better friend."
