For those who were blown away by Samsung's presentation of its new wearable wrist accessory, the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch, at its "Unpacked 2013 Episode 2" event on Tuesday, you may be asking yourself when and where you can get your hands on a Galaxy Gear of your very own. Now T-Mobil has become among the first to tell you.

The company announced on Friday that Samsung's smartwatch will be available to customers on Oct. 2 for $299.99 according to ABC News. Meanwhile the other major cell providers, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon have remained relatively closed lipped about their plans to market the newest foray into wearable technology from the South Korean tech giant. AT&T has only mentioned the Galaxy Gear's existence in a recent statement.

A leaked internal document from Verizon says the company plans to bundle the smartwatch with the Galaxy Note 3 for whopping $599.99 price tag.

It's likely more retailers will offer the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch as a bundle option to go along with the Galaxy Note 3, which was announced at the same press event on Tuesday. Samsung has made the idea clear that the Galaxy Gear isn't a stand alone device but rather an accessory to a Galaxy smartphone.

"That point has been made clearly to the press, but it needs to continue in retail," Angela Mclntyre told ABC News. "Getting a Galaxy S4 to work with the Gear requires a software download. There's also been no discussion on what other types of Android phones might work, and especially no discussion on whether it will work with the iOS devices.

Despite a lot of unanswered questions, T-Mobiles upfront announcement, at the very least, gives those interested in a Galaxy Gear smartwatch a little bit of an idea what the device will run them and just when it will hit shelves. More news from other companies will likely be revealed later this month.
