Kathie Lee Gifford took a moment while mourning the loss of her husband to pay tribute to him on Twitter, Rare reported. Her husband, the legendary NFL football player Frank Gifford, passed away on Sunday at 84 years old.

"Deeply grateful to all [sic] 4 ur outpouring of grace. We [sic]r steadfast in our faith & finding comfort in knowing where Frank is," she tweeted after the news of her husband's death broke. She referenced the Bible verse Philippians 4:13, which reads, "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength," according to Rare.

Gifford, the former New York Giants player and pro football Hall of Famer, passed away of natural causes at the family's Connecticut home, "Today" reported.

"We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being," Gifford's family said in a statement obtained by "Today." "We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time and we thank you for your prayers."

Kathie Lee's "The Today Show" co-hosts paid tribute to her husband of 30 years, as previously reported by HNGN. Her good friend and co-worker Hoda Kotb teared up as she spoke about Frank and his legacy.

"Thank you Hoda and Jenna for your love and beautiful tribute to Frank," Kathie Lee tweeted, "I'm in tears."
