Katie Holmes has a new 'do! The actress was spotted on the set of her new film and directorial debut "All We Had," and she was seen sporting a bob for her new role, People's StyleWatch reported.

Holmes wore her brunette hair in a new shoulder-length bob with a part down the middle and styled in messy, tousled natural waves. She matched her laid-back hairstyle with a pink and green plaid button- down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

Another photo from the set of "All We Had" showed Holmes flashing her not-so-pearly whites. Her transformation is for her role in the film where she plays a poverty-stricken mother of a 13-year-old girl, according to People. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Annie Weatherwax that follows the mommy-daughter duo as they pack up their old Ford Escort after getting evicted from their California home and head east to find a new home.

The "Dawson's Creek" alum and mommy to 9-year-old daughter Suri Cruise must be really committed to her role in her upcoming film. She said earlier this year that she wasn't planning on chopping her long locks.

"I don't think I would cut my hair, because I like the versatility of long hair," she said in a Yahoo! News Style Session. "I like being able to put it in a ponytail, I'm a ponytail girl."
