The CW has a history of recycling actors from show to show. Things are no different when it comes to the sophomore season of the network’s “Beauty and the Beast.”

Actors Annie Ilonzeh and Blair Redford will play thorns in Catherine’s (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent’s (Jay Ryan) side next season, according to TVGuide.com.

Ilonzeh will play Catherine’s high school buddy Beth. At least they are friends until Beth see’s an attack that makes her an issue for one of the show’s protagonists.

Cat’s past won’t be the only one that comes back to haunt her. Vincent will also have some troubles from a former colleague.

Redford will play the role of Zach, someone who Jay knew while they were in the Army. He will prove to be a formidable foe for Jay.

Illonzeh’s CW resume most recently includes a stint in the inaugural season of “Arrow.” She played the role of Laurel’s friend and work colleague Joanna De La Vega. The 30-year old actress’ other CW role was Natasha on “Melrose Place.”

Redford’s time on the CW was spent as Oscar on the now-completed 90210. He is most recently known for his role as Tyler Mendoza on ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth.” Illonzeh also appeared on the show in a recurring role as Lana.

Last season on “Beauty and the Beast” we were left with the shocking news that the man Vincent and Cat were going up against was none other than her father. It seems she’ll have some family issue to work out in Season 2.

Season 2 of “Beauty and the Beast” premieres Oct. 7, 9/8c on The CW.
