Scarlett Johansson has made her relationship with her French boyfriend Romain Dauriac official. The couple is now engaged.

Scarlett Johansson is officially off the market! She and her boyfriend Romain Dauriac are engaged, sources confirm. The "Avengers" star was spotted wearing a vintage Art Deco style diamond ring on her engagement finger during the promotion of her latest sci-fi film "Under the Skin" at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, earlier this week, according to People magazine.

Dauriac, a French journalist, started dating the 28-year-old star back in November last year and popped the big question about a month ago. According to E! News, Dauriac is the former editor for "Clark", a French magazine that specializes in urban art. He is currently working at a creative agency as a manager.

"I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven't chosen a date for the wedding," Johansson's rep said in a statement.

A source close to the couple also confirmed the news of their engagement and said to People that they are "very happy."

The "Her" star was previously married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds. They dated for nearly an year before marrying in 2008, after dating for nearly a year. The former couple got officially divorced in July 2011.

Johansson is, of course, famous for her stunning acting skills but has also made her name as an  activist. She appeared at the Democratic National Convention last year to call for the re-election of President Barack Obama. The Hollywood bombshell had also expressed her interest in politics.

"I come from a politically active family. To be an active member of the community, to be a responsible citizen and to engage politically have always been part of my awareness and part of my life," she told Harper's Bazaar in an interview, according to Hollywood Life.
