As a three-time Oscar winner, with too many nominations to count, you'd think Mamie Gummer would consider her beyond talented mother Meryl Streep as her idol, but it turns out she idolizes a different Oscar winner, Cate Blanchett.

Gummer, 32, who is also portrayed as Streep's on-screen daughter in their upcoming film "Ricki and the Flash," sat down with Net-a-Porter's The Edit for their latest installment and spoke about where a lot of her acting goals come from, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She revealed that most of her fashion inspiration comes from Blanchett, but she also models her own acting career after the 46-year-old "Cinderella" actress.

"Theater has remained a priority in her life," she said of why she idolizes Blanchett. "She's been able to balance the two."

As for working with her mother, who's a legendary actress, she couldn't turn down the opportunity.

"We had never really talked about [working] together, but we had also never ruled it out," Gummer said. "I wasn't about to say, 'No, I'm not going to work with Meryl Streep. I refuse!'"

The two attended the NYC red carpet premiere for the film together on Monday, and Streep, 66, shared her thoughts on what it was like working with her daughter.

"It was great to work with my daughter!" she told Us Weekly. "I was blown away. I'm not objective! Don't ask me this! But I think other people have corroborated that [she's talented], so it's [been] really fun. I'm very proud of all my children."

Working with Streep could be a little intimidating for anyone, though, even her own daughter. Gummer's character in the film says some pretty hurtful things to her mother, and this actually made Gummer anxious.

"I was nervous about it, leading up to filming it," Gummer told Entertainment Tonight. "She was fine. I think she was pleased actually. It's funny because I tear into her and when we called cut there was this big grin on her face."

Their relationship in the film is much different than their relationship in real life, though. They were able to draw on some personal experiences to prepare and make it seem real, but Steep made sure to clarify that there were major differences in their actual relationship because in real life, despite her super busy schedule, she always put her kids first.

"There was no point in my life that I felt abandoned," Gummer said. "My mom worked really hard, and I know sacrificed on both ends, but to really maintain a pretty fair balance, and we were always the priority."
