Even though we saw the romance of Miles Matheson (Billy Burke) and Nora (Daniella Alonso) play out in the first season of “Revolution,” it became fairly obvious that Miles was in love with Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell).

Although the Miles may be exploring his relationship with Rachel in Season 2, it doesn’t mean Nora’s death won’t affect him.

"He is going to carry it with him for a while," Burke said in an interview with EOnline. "As actors I will say losing Nora was a big blow…losing Daniella and [Danny who was played by Graham Rogers] were all big blows for us, but the nature of the show is that people have to die. Still, for us it truly was like losing family."

While Miles—and some fans—may want Rachel and Charlie’s (Tracy Spiridakos) uncle to be a thing, there is one person who does not—Rachel’s dad.

According to TVLine.com, Rachel’s father Gene will be played by “7th Heaven” star Stephen Collins. Executive Producer for “Revolution” Eric Kripke told the website, Gene may once more be playing a dad—but he won’t exactly be the guy many fans fell in love with on The WB.

“He’s gruff and pissed off and tough,” said Kripke. “It’s really fascinating to see Stephen playing this part, all whiskered and haggard. I think people are going to be blown away by the work he’s doing.”

We were able to catch a glimpse into Gene’s interaction with Miles—and his disapproval of the former General Matheson for his daughter—during the Comic-Con trailer for “Revolution” when Gene calls Miles “the wrong guy.”

Season 2 of “Revolution” premieres Wed, Sept 25 at 8/7c on NBC.
