Celebrity chef Sandra Lee has been hospitalized for an emergency related to her battle with breast cancer.

Back in May, the 49-year-old Food Network star had a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and on Tuesday night, she started to feel some extreme pain in the area, according to Page Six. She was rushed to the hospital, but was conscious and alert. Her condition was not immediately identified, but a close friend referred to it as "fluid buildup."

"She's going to be in for a couple of days," the friend said. "She started having pain. She knew something was wrong. It's some sort of fluid buildup and pain. She was just feeling general fatigue and run down."

Doctors plan on "monitoring her for a couple of days," a source close to Lee told the New York Daily News.

Lee has been dating New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for some time now, and as soon as he heard the news, he left Billy Joel's concert on Long Island to rush to her side.

The chef first announced her breast cancer diagnosis on "Good Morning America" in early May, according to Us Weekly. A week later she underwent the surgery.

"I didn't even cry, I was stunned," she said about finding out her diagnosis. "You know, that's just how fast life turns. It turns on a dime."

She had been keeping her fans and followers updated on her diagnosis from the moment right before she underwent surgery through her Facebook, Twitter and personal blog, but she has yet to post anything since she's back in the hospital.
