Fans can take their best guess, but Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" is still a bit of a mystery. We know that Tom Holland will make his MCU debut as Spider-Man in the film, but we don't know what type of role he'll play in the story. We know it won't be similar to the crucial role Spider-Man assumed in the famous comic book plot. So what, exactly, will Spidey be doing next to all of these big bad Avengers?

"How many scenes will Spider-Man be in? I don't know the exact numbers, but sources have recently made it clear to me that there's more Spider-Man in this movie than I expected," Devin Faraci, Editor-in-Chief of Birth.Movies.Death. wrote. "Spider-Man doesn't just swing by and say hi - gets his hands dirty in this Civil War. He fights. And his fight scene might be the one that really gets fandom excited - not because of how top tier the face-off will be, but because of how profoundly dorky and unlike any other big screen superhero fight it will be."

Remember, Marvel purposely cast Holland because they wanted to portray Peter Parker as a young high schooler. That means that the character hasn't had his super powers for very long, and has likely been fighting crime for even less time. He is a rookie who is kind of making it up as he goes along.

That could lend itself to a handful of humorous scenes in "Captain America: Civil War." Just picture it: Steve Rogers and Iron Man, two battled tested veterans who have saved the world twice now, juxtaposed with some punk kid still trying to figure out how his webslingers work? That dynamic has the potential to be very punchy and entertaining if they don't over-do it.

"Captain America: Civil War" will hit theaters on May g, 2016. Spider-Man will then appear in his own solo film in 2017.
