Bindi Irwin has ditched her khakis once again and looks absolutely stunning on the cover of the Australian magazine Sunday Style.

The 17-year-old star, who's the daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin, got a makeover for the photo shoot and looks absolutely gorgeous in a black halter dress, according to E! News. The young star was just 8 years old when her father passed away in 2006, but she's all grown up now and has been getting a lot of media attention over the past few months because of her positive and mature look on life.

"After losing Dad, there was the idea that none of us have forever," she told the magazine. "It really affects you. It makes you want to live each day as if it's your last."

She's known for loving animals and rocking khakis, just like her dad did, but she had a ton of fun experimenting with her look for this shoot, according to People.

"I want to try different styles," she said. "Khaki is a part of who I am, but it's fun to get dressed up every now and then. Being a bit of a girl is always exciting. You can't jump on a croc or climb a tree if you're not in khaki, but I do like different clothes and playing around with it a bit."

Bindi posted the cover shot to her own Instagram, writing, "Khaki will always be a part of my heart, but today's issue of @sundaystyle was a privilege to be a part of."

She revealed how surprised she's been with people's reactions to her social media pages lately. After she posted a beautiful selfie to Instagram a few months ago, people went crazy over how grown-up and glamorous she looked.

"It was amazing at how much it exploded - I didn't expect that," she said. "I really didn't ever post selfies before, but it occurred to me, after talking to some friends, how much pressure is put on young people to look and act a certain way. We're all growing up and changing. I wanted to tell young girls - and boys - to stay true to who you are and not let anyone change you. You have to be able to accept yourself and know you're gorgeous inside [and] out. It's hard sometimes."

She also opened up about her new boyfriend Chandler Powell for the first time. The 18-year-old professional wake boarder has made her nothing but happy so far.

"Our friendship has developed into something really special," she said. "I feel lucky to have him in my life."
