On Monday "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans found out who would be playing Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the highly anticipated movie. E.L. James announced on her Twitter page that Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam had been cast to star as leading kinky couple.

Following the announcement, Johnson created a Twitter account much to "Fifty Shades" fans delight. The account hasn't been verified but she already has thousands of followers all wishing her good luck. She tweeted how excited she was to be cast as the shy college student and thanked fans for their support. Johnson has been pretty active on the social networking site and will hopefully tease fans with behind-the-scenes pictures and sneak peeks as the movie is beiing shot.

Hunnam, who will play the troubled billionaire, has not created an account yet.

Johnson, who is an up-and-coming actress, got her big break when she landed a scene opposite Justin Timberlake in "The Social Network." Her other movie roles include "Beastly," "The Five-Year Engagement," "21 Jump Street" and "Crazy in Alabama."

She also played Kate in Fox's comedy "Ben and Kate" but the show was canceled after one season.

Back in October, the 23-year-old told USA Today that she always wanted to be an actress.

"This is my passion. This is my job. I love it more than anything," she said. "I'm so happy when I'm working. I love doing improve. I love comedy. I have always felt this way, even when I was really young. I'd watch my parents work and think, yeah, I'm going to do that. It wasn't even a thing. It's the only thing I know how to do."

It has previously been rumored that whoever landed the role of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele would become A-list stars in Hollywood. Both of her parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, are Hollywood legends and were thrilled about the news.

"My beautiful child Dakota has been chosen to play Anna Steele in '50 Shades,'" Griffith wrote on Twitter. "Look out world! Here she comes!! #proudmomma."

Despite how many fans feel about the decision, Johnson has plenty of support. Several producers tweeted that she and Hunnam have great chemistry and they would be perfect together on screen.
