Welcome back, Bundys! Nearly 20 years after "Married... with Children" went off the air, rumor has it that America's favorite dysfunctional family could be returning to the small screen.

David Faustino, who played Bud Bundy on the '80s-'90s sitcom, told E! News that he's working with Sony on developing a "spin-off" of the series based off the original show, which starred Christina Applegate, Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal.

"Sony has it. They're excited about it," the 41-year-old actor said at the premiere of Applegate's new comedy movie "Vacation" on Tuesday. "They're working out some legal issues that we hope they work out."

Faustino also added that some of the original cast members have agreed to return for the project, saying, "The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it. The idea would be a pilot for a spin-off. That's all I can say right now. It involves me and few other people."

No mention if O'Neill and Sagal are involved in the spin-off. Both actors are busy with their own current series "Modern Family" and "The Bastard Executioner."

Applegate confirmed Faustino's comments, saying, "All of us have said we would all be there for [Faustino]." As for where her character is now, the actress said, "Kelly Bundy probably has like 10 kids. I'm sure of it."

"Married ... with Children" ran on the FOX network for 11 seasons from 1987 to 1997 and was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt. The series followed the Bundys, a dysfunctional family living in a fictional Chicago suburb.
