On Monday, Nick Gordon was spotted in Florida wearing a ring on his left finger that symbolized his relationship with the late Bobbi Kristina Brown. Gordon, 25, was also wearing the ring he gave to Bobbi Kristina around his neck, reported Entertainment Tonight. The two claimed to have gotten married on Jan. 9, 2014, though family representatives later said the marriage was not official.

Gordon was not doing well following the news of Brown's death at the age of 22. Gordon's mother Michelle said that he had suffered greatly. "The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family," Michelle Gordon said. "Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time."

Gordon had been facing a $10 million civil lawsuit that was filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservator, Bedelia Hargrove. The lawsuit claimed that he physically abused Bobbi Kristina and stole thousands from her. However, no criminal charges have been filed against him.

The romantic relationship between the two started after Houston's death in 2012. Gordon was taken in by Houston when he was 12-years-old after his biological mom declared that she could no longer care for him. Although Houston never legally adopted Gordon, she raised him like a son and he grew up alongside Bobbi Kristina, essentially as siblings, according to Entertainment Tonight
