Chris Brown and Rihanna: Did a Baby, Talks of Starting a Family Contribute to Split? Reason Behind Breakup Revealed
The real reason Rihanna and Chris Brown split in May has been revealed and it might have something to do with a baby. Rihanna and Chris Brown have dated off-and-on but the "Umbrella" singer reportedly was ready to take their relationship to the next level.
According to Hollywood Life, Rihanna sat down and told the "Fine China" singer that she wanted to start a family with him one day. A source told the website that Brown reportedly told her that they were too young and he wasn't crazy about the idea.
"She told him she loved him and she could see herself staring a family with him in the future," a source said. "She wasn't talking like right now."
Not long after Rihanna told him this, Brown went on "The Kyle & Jackie O" radio show and said he wasn't focused on "wife-ing" Rihanna.
"I'm going to do it solo," Brown said during the interview. "At the end of the day, [she's] already doing her thing, she's on the road. The way I look at it... I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs."
"At the end of the day she's a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young... and I'm young too," he continued. "I just got to step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket."
The source told Hollywood Life that the interview broke her heart.
"When my girl tell you she loves you and wants to be serious with you and start a real life with you and maybe even have your baby in the future, you turn her down, and then put her on blast on a radio show," the source said. "That's all bad. Like game over."
In the three months since the split, Brown is now dating ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. The source said that Rihanna is finally starting to accept the fact that her relationship with the "Forever" singer is just not meant to be and insisted that she would not take him back.
