As of right now Kentucky's 2016 recruiting class only has one commit and that is 4-star power forward Tai Wynyard. It is still early in the recruiting of 2016 prospects but Kentucky is used to always being in the top ten recruiting classes. One player that could possibly boost them up to the top for 2016 is Miles Bridges who is coming off a dominant performance at a Nike tournament in Chicago. Bridges recently trimmed his list of schools down to five and now he has reportedly scheduled his official visits to three of the five finalists according to MLive.com.

Bridges will reportedly visit Indiana from August 28-30, Michigan State on September 12 and Kentucky on October 16. Bridges is still in the process of scheduling visits with Michigan and North Carolina, but he said after the visits he will pick from those five schools.

"Every time I go out to a college they show me love so I'm not nervous about (making the trips), I don't see myself making any more cuts; I'm just going to pick from that five," said Bridges.

Bridges is a 6 foot-7 small forward from Flint Michigan who plays his high school basketball at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. ESPN ranks Bridges as the third best small forward in the nation and the seventh best 2016 recruit overall.

Bridges is a lefty who is very explosive and is at his best when he is in transition. He can finish with both hands and is also an excellent passer. The knock on Bridges is that he may be a little too big to guard quicker wings, and that his jump shot isn't as consistent as his form suggests it should be. Bridges has the touch of a player that will become a good shooter once he finds the confidence he needs.

Bridges has seen his stock rise in a big way since the beginning of the year as he has gone from a pretty good recruit to a potentially elite recruit which is why he has interest from so many elite programs. As of right now Kentucky appears to be the favorite to land Bridges according to 247Sports.com but that could change.

"They just put people in the league. Me and coach (John) Calipari, we've gotten close," said Bridges about Kentucky according to Inside The Hall.

Bridges still has official visits to make which are a big deal and can often change a players mind on where they want to play college basketball, but as of right now it looks like he is choosing between Kentucky and hometown school Michigan State with Kentucky as the current favorite. There are five teams on his official list but people in the know seem to think those are the two favorites to land the 5-star forward.
