In January James Franco wrote an ode to Lana Del Rey called "Shades of Cool" for V Magazine. The actor concluded his tribute to the singer by writing, "I wanted to interview Lana for a book and she said, 'Just write around me; it's better if it's not my own words. It's almost better if you don't get me exactly, but try.'"

Franco took that suggestion to heart and turned it into a real book that the actor co-wrote. The 100-page book is called "Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey" and it will be released through Penguin Random House next March.

Franco co-write "Flip-Side" with New York Times bestselling author David Shields, who previously teamed with Franco on a film adaptation of "I Think You're Totally Wrong: A Quarre." Franco was also taught by Shields when the actor pursued a creative writing MFA through the Warren Wilson Program in December 2013.

Not much is known about the book but it seems to a lengthier version of Franco's V magazine tribute from earlier this year, according to Vulture. You can pre-order the book here
